What is Preliminary Pageant?
A prelim pageant is a small pageant to introduce you into the system. These are lower cost pageants held in each province, and there will usually be 2-3 held before the provincial finals. Prelims are a simple pageant that last a few short hours with casual wear, beauty wear, personal introduction (ages 4+ only) and on-stage question (ages 4+ only). Each age group will have a main winner and that girl will win fees off the provincial pageant.
What is a Provincial Finals Pageant?
A provincial finals pageant will be held in the spring, and the top 2 in each age group have the opportunity to attend the National Pageant. You do not have to attend a prelim pageant to attend the provincials, but it is recommended so you have the practice and stage time before Provincials. Queen winners of the provincial pageant will have their main entry fee waived to Nationals.
Queen winners will be crowned "Baby Miss BC" or "Little Miss Alberta" (title changes with age and province). 2nd Place Princess Winners will be crowned "Baby Princess Nova Scotia" or "Young Princess Ontario", etc..). You will receive a gorgeous custom sash with this title to wear to Nationals and show off your title!
What is the National Pageant?
The National pageant will be held yearly in Vancouver in July. Girls from all over Canada will gather and compete for the prestige titles of "Baby Miss Canadian Girl" "Toddler Miss Canadian Girl" "Petite Miss Canadian Girl" "Little Miss Canadian Girl" "Young Miss Canadian Girl" "Tween Miss Canadian Girl" "Jr. Teen Miss Canadian Girl" or "Teen Miss Canadian Girl". They will be showered with gifts and scholarship money, as well as be treated to an exclusive photo shoot after the pageant.
Of course, all other girls will be recognized with titles, gifts and crowns!
More national info will be available soon!
How is Charity Involved?
NCG will be supporting Childrens Hospitals. In past years, West Coast All Canadian Girl (the original BC system) has raised thousands of dollars for BC Childrens Hospital. Info on how contestants can support charity will be in all entry packet info.
What are the Age Divisions?
0-23 months, 2-3, 4-5 6-7, 8-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19
